Terms and Conditions

Birdtail Waterfowl strives to communicate effectively with all of our guests. Please read our terms and conditions for details on your payment terms as well as additional insight into booking your trip.

Deposit and Payment Terms

  • Taxes are additional (GST and PST)
  • A deposit equaling 50% of the total package is due within 14 days of booking
  • Final payment is due on all bookings made less than 90 days prior to arrival
  • Deposits and final payments can be paid with personal cheques, business cheques, or cash (we do not accept credit cards)
  • All payments are non-refundable and non-transferable

Confirmation of Dates and Party Sizes

Depending on your residency status and preferred target species, dates are available from the beginning of September to early November. Please read through our website and let us know your preferences and expectations. Paul will advise you on the most favourable dates and availability.

  • Birdtail Waterfowl prefers hunting parties to be no larger than five guests per group. This number aligns with available seats in our trucks and allocated hunting equipment. If you have more than five hunters and want to hunt as a large party, please let us know in advance so that we can do our best to accommodate you.
  • Single hunters or pairs will be joined with another group to create a hunting party.
  • If you would like to book the entire lodge, please contact Paul for details. When booking the lodge for full capacity, deposits will be due at the time of confirmation.

Travel Insurance

  • In case of unforeseen circumstances, we strongly suggest purchasing travel or trip interruption/cancellation insurance. Please confirm with your insurer as to their requirements. Travel insurance is available through various vendors and is your responsibility.

Bird Processing and Donation

  • All waterfowl harvested during your hunt must be processed. There are no exceptions. Please see our Bird Processing page for more information.
